Sheepskin and oak/acorn bark tanned leather pouch/wallet

£60.00

Crafted with care from both oak and acorn tanned deer leather, and mimosa tanned sheepskin, then sewn using brain tanned buckskin cord - all of which have been slowly hand-tanned using traditional methods at Woodland Tannery. Finished with a pit-fired wild clay button.

Dimensions - 13cm x 15cm x 3cm

~

Bark tanning is a slow, natural process that uses tannins from oak bark to transform raw hides into strong, characterful leather. This method takes time and patience, but it produces leather that is durable, beautifully textured, and designed to age gracefully. With use, each piece develops a rich patina, making every item uniquely its own.
